Food For Families 2026

We are excited to kick off the 5th Annual Food for Families Competition—a community-wide challenge to see who can collect the most food and make the biggest impact right here in our community.

Last year, our community came together to provide the equivalent of 45,886 pounds of food. That was an incredible accomplishment—but this year, the need has grown.

The competition will feature five categories: Business • Education • Government • Faith-Based & Civic • Health & Fitness

Each category will have a winner, along with one overall champion. Winners will receive a plaque, public recognition, and a social media spotlight celebrating their community leadership.

Host a food drive at your organization and collect unexpired, unopened items, especially:

  • Proteins: Peanut butter, tuna, chicken

  • Pop-top foods: Soups, fruits, and vegetables

  • Breakfast & kid-friendly foods: Cereal and snacks

Can't host a food drive? You can still compete!

Every $1 donated = 2 pounds of food toward the competition.

Friday, November 20 | 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. @ Helping Hands Ministry back of the building by the loading dock.

Please mark your donations with your organization's name so your team receives credit! Monetary donations can be made online at helpinghandsbelton.org, mailed to PO Box 1923, Belton, TX 76513, or brought to Helping Hands on collection day.

Are you in? Let us know by emailing alicia@helpinghandsbelton.org and we’ll get you signed up!

Thank you to our 2025 participants!
