Helping Hands Ministry of Belton seeks to eliminate all physical and spiritual poverty in East Bell County by cultivating an environment in which individuals and families are empowered to work out of systemic poverty and toward wholeness, through ministries of relief, development, and advocacy.
From its founding, Helping Hands Ministry has focused its resources on relieving the effects of poverty in Belton. The ministry offers its clients a client-choice food pantry, clothing department, rent and utilities assistance, care for newborns, and other necessities for living.
Helping Hands Ministry gives some unemployed clients the opportunities they need to find a job through the employment mentoring ministry. In addition, all clients are encouraged to attend free education classes at Helping Hands’ facility to improve their financial, health and other essential skills.
